THIS IS TOBY…a tri color, 3 yr old, 11 lb, Pappillon/LH Chihuahua mix, who was stranded at the West LA Shelter because his owner never registered his microchip 🙁  This young man was at the shelter for two weeks before we took him.  Not our typical breed, but we couldn’t resist his adorable ears!!  He was very timid at the shelter (actually scared) and wasn’t really cooperative when being shown.  We have since learned that he is scared of men, but we are working with him.  However, two minutes with us and he was kissing our faces!  Toby loves to go on his walks…he is feisty and will pull on the leash to get where he wants to go!  We’re working on that with him!  He gets along with dogs and humans…and he is so dainty when he walks like a Pap…but he has the coat of a Chi.  He just arrived, so we are still learning about him.  He didn’t even try to bite me when I expressed his anal glands!  Toby would be fine with kids over 12 yrs old…just remember to go a little slow at first…he won’t be aggressive, but he might be scared (especially if they are male)!  Other than that, he loves to play…will run after toys but not sure what they are about yet!  If you have allergies, we can’t promise you won’t be affected, but he doesn’t seem to shed.  But he does give kisses and loves attention.  He gets really excited to see you and it’s adorable!  Does Toby sound like the right way to start off 2019?
