MEET TOBY…and his story is so wrong.  This very cute, 4-5 yrs old, 14 lb, Shih Tzu/Maltese mix was abandoned when his owners moved away.  They told the neighbors they couldn’t take him and drove off!  Neighbors were feeding him for about a month until he was spotted by rescue and now he is with us.

Toby is a very human oriented pup who loves being with his people.  He gets along with everyone… including the foster’s female Pit Bull!  He is very friendly with other dogs, people and even kids over 8 yrs old are welcomed.  He’s good on the leash, loves to go for walks and do his business.   He needs a lot of cuddle time and definitely is a “snuggle-in-bed boy” and gives you kisses to let you know how comfy he is!  Toby loves to amuse himself with toys and is a joy to watch.   He is also a big foodie and can jump up to the counter to see “what’s for din din.”  Toby is very easy going and ultimately just looking for a forever home with a family and a dog who will never abandon him again! He is not demanding and meshed into his foster home easily. Not a barker, except when someone comes to the door or there is a noise he doesn’t recognize – but not excessively.   Does Toby sound like a pup you could keep warm at night…and he will do the same for you?  He will be at our adoption event on May 16!
