THIS IS TINKY….a very petite, sweet, 6-7 yr old, ~8 lb, black/white, ShihTzu X who came from the Palmdale Shelter a bit of a mess.  Didn’t really phase her at all, as she is a very calm, well mannered, sweet, easy going Shih Tzu mix, who craves being held and loved.  Not so much into toys as she is to grab your attention and hold on to it!  She seems to be potty trained (but we never guarantee), great on a leash, not reactive to other dogs or people and just wants to belong.  We have been slammed with dogs, and Tinky has had to move around a bit, so she is just getting settled.

One thing we do know is that she does not like being left alone.  Initially, when she is not used to the environment, she will bark a bit to show her confusion.  She settles down pretty quickly and your presence will help with any anxiety she might have.  If you work from home, she is the perfect companion to play with when you take a break.  Loves to play with her person and give them sweet, gentle kisses!  She is very non intrusive and would make a great 2nd dog in the family so that when you aren’t around, she isn’t alone.  We believe she would probably love kids who are gentle and loving and might even be good in a mature home (not senior senior) that would dote on her.  She is healthy and happy and sweet as she can be.  Does she sound like she would fit in with your family?  She’s waiting!!
