PENDING ADOPTION

THIS IS SPIRIT…and she has a ton of it!  This little Maltese/Terrier girl, who weighs 6 lbs and is approximately 9 yrs old, came from the Coachella Shelter looking like this:

You couldn’t tell the front from the back, what breed she was, how big she was…she was the epitome of a matted mess.  It broke my heart.

She had not been spayed, she had mammary tumors (benign) from having babies, a bladder infection, funky teeth (probably from eating rocks) — she probably hadn’t ever had any love and was scared to death.  Spirit wants to be loved so badly and only reluctantly accepted it at first…but she is blossoming very quickly!  She loves squeaky toys, she is interested in her surroundings and is very dainty!  She is a little mouthy at this point and likely will need a home where there are no children or chaos.  These dogs live long lives…and we’re going to do all that has to be done to do our best to make certain she will be as good as she can be before she is adopted.  She will need a patient family…she would prefer to be the only dog and get all the love for herself!

Spirit is healthy and is available now.  Please only apply for her if you are patient and can live with the fact that she isn’t potty trained, mostly pp pad trained…but she sometimes misses.   Now that she is feeling better, she inhales love and really deserves a loving home.  Is that you?
