MEET SOPHIE….a smart, fluffy, 4 yr old, tri colored, 14 lb, Shih Tzu, who has had a tough life but it’s about to get much better!  This little girl’s humans adopted her from the shelter 3 years ago. Then, once the baby came, she was immediately banished to the garage and yard.  Now her humans are moving, and they were going to dump her back in the shelter.  Why get a dog if you are not going to love her?  So sad.  The neighbors said, “She is too special to be treated like this” and called us.  Sophie has a lot of energy and lives to play.  Throw a toy and she will actually fetch it back to you … for hours and hours!  She is a bit dominant and likes to perch on high places, but she is not in the least bit aggressive!   She gives lots of kisses, loves toys and chewies; she loves to go on walks but needs some practice on the leash!  Since she has a lot of energy, she would be perfect as a running partner, as she does need exercise.  She is friendly with everyone but definitely could use training to make her the best companion she could be.  Sophie is very smart, listens and will be easy to train!  This little girl has been deprived of love and attention, so the right home for her will include patience, training, a yard for her to play in and another dog for her to be her companion….and love….lots and lots of love and attention.
