MEET SHERLOCK….who originally came into the East Valley Shelter with his brother Watson…and they really were a mystery unto themselves!  We thought they needed to go together, but they argue from time to time, so we decided it would be safer to place them apart.

Sherlock is a grizzle, 14.5 lb, 1.5-2 yrs old, Shih Tzu X…and a  real lovebug.  He loves playing with other dogs (except he never played with his brother but could be caught grooming him).  We think they had a love/hate relationship when they only had each other…but now, after being offered options, they have changed.  Sherlock was so matted with everything but the kitchen sink, it was clear that he had been an outside dog.  Sherlock craves attention and loves laps and toys!!  He loves to cuddle and MUST be able to sleep in bed with you — probably in the crook of your armpit!  He loves to be close to his human.  One thing we know for sure, he doesn’t like being left alone, so another canine must be in his future…and a home where people are around.  Sherlock is quiet but will join in the choir if others are barking.  He loves to “bump butts!”  Definitely a character!  He is a kissy boy, very affectionate, good in the car and on walks, seems to be getting the idea that marking is not appropriate in the house!  Very smart and wants to please.  He is very human oriented.  He needs an alpha leader who will make sure he behaves and gets training.  Kids over 8 yrs old welcomed!  Sherlock might not be able to solve any problems in the house, but he can solve one… being your cuddle buddy.  If you need some cuddling and loving, come get him!
