THIS SHAMUS….a precious, gold/white, 3 yr old, 13 lbs, Lhasa Tzu who came from the Carson Shelter with one of the worst skin infections we have ever seen. This little boy was so sweet, wagging his tail, despite being covered in yeast and a layer of crud on his neck and body.  Just look at how inflamed his skin was:

Shamus’ profile pictures illustrate how much improvement can take place with a little time, wonderful care, healthy food and the right medical treatment.  He is no longer red, pink, inflamed or itching.  He has been AOK for a few weeks and couldn’t be happier!  Shamus has a calming presence, is very easy going, yet spunky when the energy in the home is upbeat and fun! Shamus’s motto is “don’t worry~be happy!” He  loves to fetch a ball, esp one he can carry in his mouth!  You will often find Shamus carrying a toy in his mouth wherever he is!  He is very content with a bully stick and will chew for hours!   Shamus is very intelligent, loyal and bonds quickly to his people.  He plays with other dogs and with great glee…but he is equally laid back when play time is over! Without activity, Shamus might get bored and mischievous!  Shamus must go to a home where he will get exercise and attention will be paid to keeping his skin under control….which is easy!  Just his special food and natural shampoo and he’s good to go!  He will be wonderful with kids, but they should be over 10 yrs old, as he is mouthy and plays HARD!!   Shamus is loving, cuddly and a snuggle bug and if you don’t want a dollbaby in your bed, he wouldn’t be the boy for you.  He won’t demand it, because he is so respectful…but you’ll want to give him all the love he deserves!  He is an old soul who deserves to be loved as he has never experienced before. When he is happy…he makes everyone around him happy. Would you allow Shamus to make you happy?  Just give him a chance!!
