PENDING ADOPTIO

She is going home in two weeks!

THIS IS SASHA…a zaftig, tan/white, 23.5 lbs (yes, she’s on a diet) Lhasa Apso…and she’s a doll!!  Sasha came from a senior home where she was very loved but spoiled.  Because of health reasons (mom) they had to give her up.  Sasha was groomed monthly, vetted properly, very loved but she wasn’t walked or fed on a schedule.  So, she had gained a few “Covid” pounds!  She loves treats but is a bit picky in the food department — but she is learning.

She loves to go for walks at a brisk pace now!  For this reason, she wold not be good in a senior home.  She needs several walks daily and she’s pretty good.  She wakes up at 7:30am every morning and asks to go out!  She will have an accident here and there (usually on a pp pad)…but she is doing well.  We taught her how to walk up and down the stairs and she learned in two days!

We were told that Sasha has a couple of issues, she’s a Lhasa after all!  We have not seen them yet, but she will let you know if she doesn’t like something.  SHE IS NOT AGGRESSIVE.  She can be food possessive if you drop food on the floor and she wants it — just don’t try to take it out of her mouth!  She is great with other dogs — she’ll even let them eat out of her bowl and she loves to play with them.  She won’t let you clean her behind, so don’t try (unless you are tricky and fast)!   Sasha has blossomed in her foster home and shown that she definitely wants another small, active dog as her companion; NO cats and she doesn’t like being left alone all day.  That being said, she can be independent in the house.   She is a wonderful companion and ultimately will give you lots of kisses!  Loves toys!!  No kids, because of her food issues, and it would be best for her to live in a house because she is a great watch dog and will bark if she hears noises.  Sasha is a wonderful dog but she needs alpha owners who will take charge of her.  Otherwise, she will take charge of you!  Does Sasha sound like a dog you could love?  WE DO!!!

Hooray! This dog has been adopted!
