MEET RILEY!!!  Did you ever love the Lhasa Apso breed but thought they were too “prissy and small?”  Well, we have a dog for you!!  Riley is not only a gorgeous specimen of canine…this 6 month old, sable/blonde, 24 lb (and growing; will be apx 30+ lbs full grown) Lhasa/Wheaten or ??? is a winner!  This poor boy was abandoned in an apartment, in a crate, after the owner was evicted and went back to Manila.  We don’t have his back story, except what we were able to glean from his neighbor, which isn’t much.   We do know that this handsome boy was scared to death when we took him out of the crate (which he was locked in for at least three days and it was way too small for him). Now, he has been neutered, groomed, vetted and he is bouncing off the walls like most puppies do!  Riley is very smart and wants to learn…and he MUST go to a home where there is another dog (who he will probably kiss immediately!).  He likes little and bigger dogs…he is strong and needs a savvy family who know dogs and can walk and work with him.  We have a trainer working with him now, but this will need to continue until he is the best boy he can be once he is in his forever home. When people see you on the street with this boy, they will stop in their steps, he is that remarkable.  Please don’t choose him just because he is a puppy and he is gorgeous!!  Understand that he will need training and a home that will make sure that he grows into the spectacular dog that we know he is.  We would like him to have a yard and another dog (or two) to play with and a couple of kids would add to the love!!  He bonds fairly quickly, gives lots of kisses and warms up to people after his initial “spook.”  Time and love will bring out this angel’s real personality.  Do you have (lotsa) room in your heart for this boy?
