THIS IS SEYMOUR….a precocious, 14 lb, cream colored, 5-6 yr old Havanese Mix.  Seymour was originally adopted from the SEAACA shelter to a family who wasn’t not right for him (he is not crazy about young children), so they gave him to us.  He was then adopted from LHH to a couple without children, who told us they were never going to have children.  However, during Covid they changed their minds and decided to adopt!  Despite our insistence to take him to training they didn’t and he bit the child.  

Seymour is a loving, kissy, affectionate boy….along with being a feisty dog, who has energy and a little ‘tude.  98% of the time he is wonderful.  He is NOT a chronic biter.  Doesn’t like to be surprised when you pick him up or moved when he is sleeping.  DO YOU?  Loves dogs, people and toys.   While he likes kids, we believe an adult-only home would be best.  He can also be leash-assertive (not hard to fix) when walking but he really only wants to meet and play!  Seymour just needs boundaries and he needs to know that he is not the boss of you!  He has been shuffled around from his original home to the shelter…to another home and another home, now back to rescue.  He needs training, patience and love and confidence…and he will be a model citizen.  If you are not willing to do this PLEASE don’t apply.

Seymour LOVES to play with other dogs so another dog MUST be in his life.  He needs to be exercised and would love to go on hikes with you or he might even be good on a treadmill!  He would be best in a home with a yard, and not an apartment, as he does alert bark when he hears noises.  Does Seymour sound like a dog who could run away with your heart?  He’s available now 🙂
