MEET RICO!!  He came from a home where there was a child, who didn’t listen to mom, and Rico bit him in the face.  This tan/black, 18 lb, 4 yr old Lhasa Apso is not for kids!  He is very A-typical of the breed…he doesn’t like to be moved when he is in his “place.”  Do you?  Other than that, he’s a wonderful dog.  He is extremely loving and will literally wake you up in the morning with wet, sloppy kisses on your face telling you, “it’s time to go out!”

With a yard and access to go outside, he seems to be potty trained, but no guarantees at your house.  He is very funny about his food…but he’s a good eater.  Rico loves his walks and is good on them…most of the time he is not a guard dog but when he feels he should be, he is!  He gets a bit anxious when he is left alone, so he would prefer being in a home where there is another small (not tiny) dog he gets along with and can play with — and definitely not left without a human more than a few hours a day.  He can be a bit dominant (or at least wants to be, in a good way!)

If you love the breed, you will love Rico.  His person needs to understand Lhasa and their wonderful intelligence.  He is playful, happy and generally a terrific dog who needs a home that will love him even with his quirks!  Does that sound like you?
