THIS HANDSOME GUY IS REDFORD (his golden locks remind us of you know who!).  Redford is a 7 yr old, 11 lb, Pekingese/Pomeranian (his owners told the Hesperia Shelter before they dumped him).  He looks like a Shih Tzu/Lhasa mix, but this boy probably would NOT be for someone who has allergies.  Once we got Redford groomed, we saw a scar down his back.  Not sure what it was from (not surgery) but possibly burned somehow — perhaps under a car 🙁

Redford is very active, loves his walks and is good with everyone.  He does have a heart murmur which is controlled with medication (inexpensive) otherwise very healthy.  The vet says he has a long life ahead of him.  Please don’t let this deter you from such a loving boy.  Redford is a happy go lucky guy who is interested and curious about everything!  He will sit on your lap and loves to be held….but it’s not long before he is off and checking things out!   He does bark when he wants something or wants to play, but he is not a yappy/barky dog.  He seems to be potty trained thru a doggie door, but you know we never guarantee. Redford is great with other dogs but he can also be independent.  His fosters report that he is well behaved and very affectionate… loves to give lots of kisses to let you know he is happy to be loved.  Very much a cuddler.  You can see for yourself that he is always smiling!!  He could go to a home with or without another dog, kids over 8 yrs old, almost any environment except one where he would be left alone all day.  Rescue dogs need to be assured they are safe and loved and THAT would be the happiest home for Redford!  Do you think you could handle all this cuteness?  He will be available December 2 (he has kennel cough) — just in time for Christmas (but never get a dog as a gift unless it’s for you)!  He would love to spend the holidays with you…
