ZURI AND ONYX ARE A PAIR  

They did not come to rescue together, but they have truly bonded.  They love each other so much, we have decided to make them a pair.  The foster wanted to keep them but has decided they would be best placed in a loving home!!

UPDATE:  We learned today (1/10) that Zuri needs surgery on her left eye; hair started growing out of it surgery is Monday!!  We will continue to take applications so that when she is healed, she and Onyx can go to their forever home!   

MEET ZURI….also affectionately called “Noodle.”  This petite, 9 lb, 3-4 yr old, tan/white Shih Tzu, truly is a noodle!  She is an extremely affectionate, kissy, playful, precious imp who came from the Devore Shelter.  She was ‘Rescue Only’ for being aggressive — she was just terrified!  Oh…she is kind of madly in love with her toys and shakes them to oblivion!!  She is a nonstop cuddler, with a tail that never stops wagging and is always in the “up” position!  She is very quiet…but we do think she sees dead people because occasionally, she will give a long bark when all is calm!  She does listen when you say “no!” — you just may have to say it more than once!

MEET ONYX….usually, it’s difficult to take pictures of black dogs.  But this stunning, 2 yr old, 12 lb, velvet soft black with white socks, Lhasa/Tzu has so much personality and character that it all comes thru!  Onyx loves to be close to you; she will sit on the back of your chair while you work or even on the desk!  But, when you tell her to settle, she does.  She came from the Fontana area, but we were unable to find her owners.  She is great with other dogs, loves to play, especially with Zuri!!  See the video below! 

The ideal family for Zuri and Onyx would be one where they can be with the family – kids over 8 yrs old are wanted and welcomed…there is a yard and they get walked and exercised regularly to attend to their activity levels.  Or a young couple who can handle the dogs using you as a trampoline!!  Onyx seems to be potty trained, at least does most of her business outside…but no guarantees at your house!  Zuri has a few more accidents 🙁  Also one that will let them cuddle in bed with you at night!   They play 24/7 if you let them but when they tucker out….zzzzzz.  If you are looking for pups who will shower you with kisses and keep you company, who will have a pup to play with and you, who you will take to training to be the best girls they can be….who will give you more love than you can handle…Zuri and Onyx are your girls!
