THIS IS NORMAN….frequently, lovingly referred to as “Grumpy Norman.”  This little tan/gray, 15 lb, 11-12 yr old, Lhasa Apso, was dumped in the Hesperia Shelter and they never looked back.  It is so sad how many of these seniors get dumped when they are no longer perfect 🙁  Norman isn’t perfect either…but he would be ideal for someone who wants to help a senior dog have a second chance at a wonderful life.  When he arrived, his mouth was a mess — stinky and teeth falling out.  He lost 10 — but he still has more than 20!!  After his dental…he was feeling so much better!  He had a few funky warts on his back, so we had them removed at the same time.  Both his hearing and his sight are compromised, but he is not totally blind or deaf.  I know, it sounds bad for Normy, but he just wants a nice, soft bed to lay his head on.  The GOOD NEWS is…we think he is potty trained and he still squats to pee!!  He can get a little sensitive when you mess with the leash to take him for a walk..but as he gets to know you, he mellows out.  He also hasn’t had much experience being walked in the past, but he seems to like it once he gets going!  Norman is a project — but he deserves happiness….and we want to make sure he gets it!  He is not for the faint of heart, but he will give you 100% of his if you let him.  No children.  Seniors welcomed!
