MEET NIBBLET!  This petite morsel of love is a charcoal/white, 8 lb, very underweight, 6 yr old (acts like a younger dog) Shih Tzu mix, who came from the Carson Shelter.  She has the absolute cutest tiny face compared to her long legs, uncommon for a Tzu.  We’re not sure what her mix might be, but her coat is very soft and she doesn’t shed!  She was adopted and returned in a few days because she was coughing.  Their loss, your gain!

The first thing we did when we got home was put a bowl of kibble down for Nibblet to snack on, turned my head and in 2 minutes flat, it was empty!  This poor little waif was hungry!  She has the cutest little mannerisms, it is fun to watch her, especially when she gets really excited.   She spins around with happiness and glee!!  She loves people, to be caressed, cuddled, and she is good with everyone she meets!  She definitely wants another dog at home to play and bond with, as she often has the energy of a 2 yr old ….without the “terrible twos” — just a lot of love!  She doesn’t like being left alone, so that is why another dog would be ideal for her.  She is probably okay with older kids who are gentle and respectful!  She is pp pad trained and does go outside, seems trained but we never guarantee.

The ideal home for Nibblet would be one where there are humans and dogs to entertain her.  She hasn’t started to play with toys, but she came to us with kennel cough/bronchitis and so she was a bit under the weather.  We can tell you that she is a savant when it comes to finding pills in tasty food and refuses to oblige!  BUT…the chewable ones she thinks are candy!!  She is getting better each day, we’ve vetted her several times, but unfortunately she has not fully recovered.  She isn’t contagious so we are hoping she will be at our next event on June 25 .

Nibblet is a keeper and she will make any home a happy one.
