MEET MICKEY AND MINNIE…a sweetheart of a pair of “littles” who were dumped in the shelter when their owner decided to move into a home that didn’t allow dogs.  Mickey is 8 lbs, about 3 yrs old, Gray/Black and Yorkie Mix as far as we can identify.  Minnie is 6 lbs, also 3 yrs old (may be sibblings) also appx 3 yrs old.  The owner had at least three, and the other was adopted by another party.

Believe it or not, Mickey is a little bit whiney sometimes; and Ms. Minnie can stand up for herself (in a very diminutive way) but not always! — she won’t let anyone push her around but she is so small she does get fearful!  They will both attack you with a ton of kisses and are very bonded…so please don’t even ask us to split them up.  They both have luxating patella on the left side, which causes them to skip.  No need to do anything at this time, as many small dogs have this malady all their lives.

They haven’t been with us long, but they love to nestle together, and Mickey is Minnie’s protector.  He was more fearful than she when we first got them…but they have both relaxed and are excited when people are around.  They are NOT barkers (we haven’t heard them bark) but Mickey sometimes whines in the car.  Just getting used to things!!

We will update this profile as soon as we learn more.
