THIS IS MAYA…who came in with GiGi, but they are not a pair.  Maya is a charcoal/gray, 3-4 yr old, 11 lb Shih Tzu.  At the shelter, she had a full coat which was likely matted, so they shaved her to the bone and only left her face 🙁  This is before:

Maya is extremely human oriented and while she likes other dogs, she loves to lean into your body and get her sugar!!  She was adopted by a family with kids, and we all thought it was the perfect match, but we learned she can guard her food or toys and so we don’t recommend children.  She is quiet but can be vocal when she hears people or when she is playing!  She seems to have potty training down, but we never guarantee at your house!  Maya does have a lot of spirit and loves her walks!  She is a special girl who just reaches into your heart and claims it quickly!  She would be happy in any situation except being left alone…that, she does not like.  She could go to a home with or without another dog, but she would not be happy without someone to be her companion.  She is looking for love in all the right places…is yours a place where she should looks?
