MEET MAVERICK!!  Everyone who sees his picture thinks he stuck his head in a bowl of ink!  No, that’s just his gorgeous black mask.  Maverick is a Lhasa/Shih Tzu (no double coat), who is golden/black, 12.6 lbs, 4-5 yrs old and a fantastic boy!  We kid you not…this boy listens to every word you say!  He has very typical Lhasa traits — he will bark at strangers on a walk to let them know he is your protector — but he doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body!  He is very smart and absolutely wants to please.  He is very affectionate and bonds like glue!  His only flaw is that he does whine when he wants your attention and sometime just to remind you that he is there!  His potty training is good, but we never guarantee!  The best home for Maverick would be a family where he is rarely left alone.  He is good with children and activity should be in his life.  He is the kind of boy who would love to go everywhere with you, come in the car when you pick up the kids from school or go to their sport game.  He loves his walks and to be outside in the world, but he will always look to you for your approval.  We have determined that Maverick gets bored without another dog in the home, so we believe there must be a canine sibling for him to bond with! There will be no out of state adoptions, as we would like him to stay in the local area.  Does Maverick sound like a dog who could make your house a home?
