THIS IS MARIBELLE….a sweeter than sugar, 9 lb, 4 yr old, gray/white miniature Poodle x, who was left in the middle of the street to die after being hit by a car.  A good Samaritan picked her up and brought her to the North Central Shelter as she was unable to walk.  X-rays revealed a severe pelvic displacement and fracture on the left side.  We found out about her and immediately picked her up and got her to our vet.  Unfortunately, she needed more extensive surgery than our vet could perform, so we brought her to an orthopedic specialist and surgery was done. 

Little Maribelle is a survivor and a trooper!  We  have never heard a whimper, bark, complaint or any sign of discomfort.  That being said, she is ready to get up and go…so we know this pretty little girl has a lot of piss and vinegar in her!  She comes out of her crate when it’s time to use the PP pads, and does her business, which is a very good sign.  She was in heat when we got her, so we have been waiting for her pelvis to recover before we spay her, which should be mid April. We know she is crate trained and quite possibly potty trained but we never guarantee!!  It has been a month since her pelvis surgery and she is finally up and walking and using her leg.   

This is just a sneak peek as Maribelle will not be available until the end of April.  If you are interested in her, we are accepting applications but please be patient with us since she is still recovering and we need to know that she is 100% before she goes home.
