We found out why this youngster was dumped in the shelter — hip dysplasia saved her life!  She was so frightened, Shelter gave her to us!  Poor thing, never had a haircut or handling or love :(.  Not the typical dog LHH takes, but she wasn’t getting out without help.  She was walking abnormally, so we took her to the vet and she indeed had hip dysplasia, requiring surgery (otherwise healthy).  She has had surgery on both hips, is good as new and she is available!!  We have NO IDEA why she hasn’t been adopted!! 

Livvy is now living with a new foster parent in Playa Vista, Michael, and she loves her new neighborhood.  He  noted that she is a little wary of new people and things, but she has gotten so much better.  SWEETNESS OVERLOAD!  All you need is patience because she is a very loving puppy. She can be fearful of new environments but she settles quickly.  However, in the home she can be jealous of other dogs, so she might need to be your one and only!   HOWEVER, if you have patience and a calm dog, after a “get acquainted period” Livvy is good!  We think she would be better in a home with kids over 8 or without kids.  She gets used to quick movements once she is in an environment she knows.  On walks, she has gotten 100% better and loves meeting new people and seeing new things.

If you are looking for a playful, sweet, loving pup, Livvy is your girl.  She wants to go to a home where there is her family who will dote on her.  Livvy does well when left alone if she has spent some time in that new environment.  Loves her walks and likes to go out about 3-4 times a day.  She is very smart, playful and we love her!  So will you!
