MEET LEROY THE LHASA….and his personality fits to a T!!  This handsome, tri colored, 20 lb, 4-5 yr old Lhasa has a little growly “lhasa-tude,” which any Lhasa Lover can understand!  He came from the South Central shelter and the first thing he did was jump up, give me kisses and hop in my car!  Yay…a happy dog!  Poor baby had a horrible case of kennel cough, an eye infection and wasn’t feeling well…. and then I heard the grumbling!  Leroy is not an aggressive dog, but he is a growl talker and can sound mean!!  He can be snappy at times, but usually doesn’t bite down.  However, that isn’t to say he wouldn’t.  He loves to cuddle and come up on your lap and be your buddy…but the growling might scare kids, so no children.  Sometimes the growling escalates and it can be a little intimidating.  Once he trusts you, it gets much better but you have to be willing to go thru a transition period.  It probably won’t go away — he growls when you leave him!  He is a mystery man!!  He wants to love, wants to please…just not quite sure how.  He doesn’t like being left alone all day but is fine for a few hours.  Seems to be potty trained, but no guarantees at your house!  A real Lhasa person will understand Leroy’s personality and getting snapped at occasionally — but not in a mean way.  Does this make sense?  Does Leroy sound like a Lhasa who you could love forever?  Please don’t apply if you don’t have the criteria or patience to love this boy.
