***ADOPTION PENDING***

MEET MISS KYLI…an 18 lb, zaftig, sable, 8 yr old, Lhasa Apso, who came to us from the South Central Shelter.  She was terrified at the shelter and wouldn’t let anyone touch her.  It is obvious that she was used as a “breeder” and had a mammary tumor (which has since been removed and no treatment necessary!!).  She is a little head shy, which is why her face is a little disheveled still, but she has gotten so much better.  She was kissing my face two days after she arrived and take a look at her video with her foster!!  Below is what she looked like when she arrived:

Under all that (gorgeous) coat there were knots on top of the knots.  Her legs were so matted, a clippers couldn’t go through.  But at the end of the day, in truth, Kyli is a sweetheart, despite what she has been through.  There is no LhasaTude in this babygirl.  She is definitely a Velcro dog who will follow you everywhere.  If you can’t find her, you might want to look anywhere she could sunbathe…loves the sun!  She does have a bit of pep to her step and she still has her moments when she wants to hide…but she is blossoming and coming around and has never snapped or bitten or even tried!  She would be wonderful in a home where she is walked 3-4 times a day and/or has a backyard to use to do her business.  She could lose a few pounds, but she probably wasn’t exercised much.  She does love to cuddle, be close to her human and is like a shadow — and she does love attention. She’s really good with most everyone and everything, but she has to get used to new environments.  Gentle kids over 10 yrs old would be good.  She likes to be active and play.  We have never seen her tail down and she wags it nonstop…in between playing and chasing her squeaky toys!!  Lhasa live very long lives (mine lived to be 19.5!) so while she has a few years on her, we think she is in great shape!  Could you love this fluff muffin?

Hooray! This dog has been adopted!
