MEET KHAKI….a handsome, 2-3 yr old, 14 lb, tan/black Havanese, who couldn’t be sweeter!  This boy came from San Bernardino Shelter and we don’t have any idea why his people wouldn’t to everything in their power to find him.  He had no chip, was intact, matted and a little confused, but that got better as soon as he reached his foster home!  Khaki does not like being left alone (no dog, no human; in the house or car) and will bark but settles down.  He will bark to let you know he wants something, so an apartment is probably not a good fit.   He MUST MUST MUST go to a home where there is another young, small, playful dog for him to engage — and an active human who works from home or is around a lot would be ideal.  Kids over 5 yrs old would be fantastic! Khaki LOVES toys…and he will play with toys to amuse himself or tug of war with his canine companion!   He is a great walker/hiker and is comfortable walking several miles with you.  He is good with everyone, including  dogs of all sizes.  He is trained to use a doggie door, but may have an accident or two….he likes to mark outside.  Finally….he is not a cuddler, per se, but he will sit on your lap and loves to burrow and rub his scent on anything and everything!  Toys, beds, sheets, floors — even clothes!  We can’t say anything bad about this boy!!  A house, another dog, kids, attention….that’s all great for Khaki!  Is that great for you?
