***ADOPTION PENDING***

MEET KENZO…and we should call him Lucky because he really is.  This sweet, white/brown, 17 lb, 4-5 yr old LhasaPooMaltese? was at the Imperial County Shelter in El Centro, when friends of ours were picking up other dogs.  They saw him, thought of us and asked if we would take him…he had already been there two months!  We said yes and it’s a good thing we did!  Kenzo came to us and couldn’t urinate.  I immediately got him to the vet as I suspected bladder stones.  Sure enough, they were in his urethra, which can be lethal for a male dog.  We had the surgery done and Kenzo has now recovered.  He will be available August 7 (but we are accepting applications now).

Kenzo is a lover, kisser, cuddler, happy dog who has a coat like cashmere and is very smart and attentive.  He has long super-model legs that go on forever (poodle part).  He reallly is handsome.  We’re not sure of his history, but he wants to please.  He is quiet, easy going and loves to go for walks.  He seems to be potty trained from what we can tell (when he pee’s it’s for a long stretch, he can hold it) but we never guarantee.  He is doesn’t even seem to mark.  He will use a pp pad if necessary.

Now that he has been with us a bit, we believe he definitely should go to a home with another dog, as he wouldn’t enjoy being alone all day.  He has a lot of energy and could go running with you…would love a hike or to go to kids activities.  He is a dog who could go to almost any home…gentle kids over 8 yrs would be great.  Does he sound like a dog who could be part of your family?  Let us know!

Hooray! This dog has been adopted!
