KAZOO IS A SPECIAL NEEDS PUPPY  

PLEASE READ HIS PROFILE BEFORE SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION  

THIS IS KAZOO….a precious, tri colored, 9 month old, 10 lb, ShihTzu/Pomeranian (as best we can guess) puppy, who likely came from a backyard breeder.   While most puppies his age are a party ready to happen, he is very sensitive, loving and a cuddlebug.  This might be because Kazoo is deaf — or because he was having seizures — but every day he becomes a little more playful as he begins to feel better.  His special needs are that he has seizures and he can be very restless.  He is on a small dose (quarter of a grain) of Phenobarbital, and since he has been on this therapy, he seemed to be getting better.  He went to a home and his seizures increased, so we took him back and are presently doing some neurological testing on him.  Vet thinks it could be epilepsy, or a liver shunt.  He won’t be adopted until we have a confirmed diagnosis.

Just like a puppy, Kazoo doesn’t like standing still and he will play bite with you and doesn’t realize the strength of his sharp little teeth!  For this reason, he would not be recommended for a household with children under 12 yrs old; and he would be too active for a senior.  The right home for him would be a patient, loving, couple or family, with another small, happy dog, who will show Kazoo the ropes!  We hope as time goes on he will become more canine engaging, but we would like a family to accept him as he is today…and be happy for his blossoming, if it continues.   Does that sound like you?
