THIS IS KAIA….who was left at the shelter to die by her owners.  This gentle girl, who is 14 lbs., brown and white, about 7-8 yrs old and mostly Shih Tzu, came to the shelter with a tumor the size of an egg plant on one of her mammaries.  We thought for sure she probably had cancer…and shouldn’t die in the shelter…but lo and behold….her tumor was benign and now she is good as new!!  She was obviously used to breed….but no more!  Kaia is learning what it’s like to be a happy dog…and she gets along with everyone.  She can be a little possessive her her humans when others want attention, but she is learning to share.  After what she has been thru….i don’t blame her!  Kaia loves to play with her toys, will play with a dog if that dog initiates play…she even seems to like cats!  She is a lucky and wonderful dog and deserves a wonderful….and very lucky home!!  She is gentle and loving….and wants to be  your best friend!
