MEET JIMINY…yes, like the cricket!  This little peanut weighs in at a whopping 5.5 lbs, but he is definitely underweight 🙁  He is only a year or so old, white (Maltese hair) and charcoal gray…and we think he is a Maltese Terrier.  He doesn’t seem to shed, but no promises he is hypo-allergenic. 

His story is a very sad one.  A rescue team was called because a woman was trying to dump her dog at the park.  When they approached her, she wouldn’t even help get this little pup out of the car and just said, “take him, we don’t want him.”  Jiminy was scared to death and even now sometimes shakes when you first meet him.  His favorite place to be right now is on your lap or in your arms, telling him you love him and that things are going to be alright.  But we know he is a puppy and has that puppy energy in him!  He will follow you around like a shadow and ask you to pick him up.  He just wants love!  We have taught him up and down the stairs and he is a fast one!  He is learning that outside is where you “do your business” and he does — or on a pp pad at our house.  NO guarantees, he is a puppy.  He does not like being left alone, but he will settle down.  However, in the process, if you leave your belongings laying around, they probably won’t be the same as when you left them!!  He is so portable, there is no reason he should ever be left!  He could go with another small dog or as your one and only; gentle kids over 8 yrs would be okay.  Do you have a place in your heart and home for Jiminy?
