MEET ISLA…..a scrappy, but adorable, 12 lb, white with gray tips, 3 yr old Maltipoo (with a dash of energizer bunny)!  This little girl came from the South Central shelter, and who knows what she has been thru before coming to LHH.  She was  matted to the bone, with a streak of terror in her eyes when we first met.  That lasted about 5 minutes!!  She may bark at first but once she feels comfortable, she’s good.  Isla is a wonderful companion to her family but can be a little skittish at first meeting.  After that, she is yours!!  She is a kissyface girl, but we don’t think she has ever had toys, as she seems to be a little scared of them!  We think that Isla will be very happy to be your one and only….as long as she isn’t left alone all day.  She loves attention and longs to have a family who will dote on her.  Kids would probably be a no-no because of her fear issues….but she’d love to keep you company on a hike or walk….so she can strut her stuff for you!!  she seems to be potty trained, definitely pp pad trained….but we can’t guarantee at your house.  Isla has an abscessed tooth, so she will be available after her dental has been done and then she can be all yours!  Come and get her!
