***ADOPTION PENDING***

MEET HENDRIX….a gorgeous 15 lb, pure black, 10-12 mo old Lhasa or Havanese mix (we’re not sure) puppy.  He was dumped at the SEAACA shelter with two other dogs, one had an adoption pending; the other wasn’t approachable. Hendrix was not bonded to either, which is difficult to understand, but he has the sweetest personality so whatever breed(s) he is, they are wonderful.

From the moment I met him, the shelter said he was skittish, but he wasn’t.  He kissed me on the nose!  On our ride home, he couldn’t have been sweeter or quieter.  He has absolutely zero aggression, never heard him bark…which is wild for a puppy. Puppies usually are all over the place — but check back for an update…it might be because he was gestating a lousy case of kennel cough and ended up pretty sick.  We have seen him very happy and active…needs another small, young dog to play with and an active home with kids over 8 yrs old are welcomed and wanted.   He is wonderful with children and we want him to have a few of his own!!  He is feeling better and trying to play with his foster canine…and showing interest in toys — on his way to recovery.

One thing is Hendrix is a little insecure (but getting better) and we can understand based on the condition he was dumped.  He may whine when you first leave, but a companion dog and the TV will distract him and before he knows it, you’ll be back.  He is very smart and learns quickly.  He likes to follow his people everywhere, so you might find him a bit invasive in the bathroom!  We think it’s part of his charm!!  He would be best in a family environment, older kids, yard, “work from home” situation.  If I could keep him, I would…he is very special and will only go to a very special home.  Is that you?
