Heather
Hooray! This dog has been adopted!
**ADOPTION PENDING**
THIS IS HEATHER….and this diminutive, 8 lb, 4-5 yr old, black, Yorkie mix, somehow got out in Corona and never found her way home 🙁 She wandered around in the hot sun, was tracked for five+ days before she basically just said to the rescuers, “come take me home!” She was a mess, loaded with fleas, ticks and matts. Heather is just a doll! Were it not for the graying in her face, we would think she was younger, based on her energy level. She will follow you everywhere, like your shadow! She loves to go for walks (she will literally walk circles around you!!). Also, her teeth are pretty clean! She was very cooperative while I painstakingly de-matted her, intermittently giving me lots of kisses! She doesn’t seem too interested in toys… really just wants to hang out with you! Heather is really quiet and would be no bother for you during your Zoom meetings or while you are on the phone! She just wants to be part of your world. So, when you walk out the door and leave her behind, you will hear she has a very high pitched cry. Maybe a touch of separation anxiety 🙁 She does settle down, but she is very portable and really should be able to go with you just about anywhere. Likely better in a home than a condo or apartment. She is pretty well behaved! We can never guarantee about potty training, she needs a little work but does pretty good! Heather could probably go into any home, but she is not crazy about larger dogs and would love a small canine companion to play with. We’d like to see her with a family who can dote on her and give her a lot of love and attention, with another dog and/or children. She’s good with everyone! We can tell you, she won’t last long!
She will not be available until after she is spayed and receives her vaccinations, which should be our next event, August 15.
