INTRODUCING HARPER….a silly diminutive 9 lb, black/white, 6-7 yr old, Shih Tzu mix, who came in and was given a silly name, Angel Tree!  She is sweet as she is petite, but a pushover she is not!  Initially, she was not feeling so well…eye and upper respiratory infections — but she was raring to go for a walk (and don’t try to jip her with a short one, even if it is raining, she likes to go go go).  Once she is 100%, she will probably rule your roost!   

We don’t know anything about Harper’s history, except that she came into the West LA shelter looking disheveled like a ragamuffin!  If your lap is available, that is where she wants to be.  While we don’t believe she is potty trained, her foster mom is working on it!  Harper is quite portable and could be your one and only if you want to take her everywhere with you.  She is too precious to leave home alone!  She is fine with other dogs and even cats, and her foster companion crawled in bed with her and she was fine with it.  She can be alpha when it comes to submissive dogs…she is really EZ PZ, but does need some training.

Those men out there who don’t want a chatterbox — the only time Harper makes a little noise is out of excitement when her food is coming!  She will get upset with you if you don’t share yours, so best you eat at the same time so she has hers and you have yours.

We are still getting to know her and she will not be available until the second Sunday in February (2/12), to give her time to get well and get her spay surgery.  We are reviewing applications now, so if you are interested, please submit one!
