THIS IS HAMPTON….(or “Ham Sandwich” as he is fondly referred to) who will eternally look like a puppy!  This handsome golden tan, 13 lb, Lhasa Apso mix did not have a great start at life, from what we can tell 🙁  He came to us from the South Central Shelter with his pelvis broken in six places.  He was such a trooper, thru his surgery and rehabilitation.  Now that he has healed, he has good but somewhat limited use of his left rear leg — but it is getting stronger and stronger every day.  He still would love to go hiking and running with you!  He is terrific with other dogs, has absolutely no aggression, is very socialized and friendly with EVERYONE —  kids (over 8) included.  Hampton is one of those dogs who loves to be close to his human, on the couch and even in bed!!   He does has a baritone bark, which is hilarious to hear if you could only see him…but he will usually only bark to alert!  Hampton goes berserk when you take him out…loves to run and play like a perfectly normal dog! We took him for possible stem cell treatment, but his orthopedist said “he doesn’t need it!”  Dr. Olds did a fantastic job on his surgery!   HAMPTON IS A KING OF A DOG!!!  Whatever family adopts him will be a happy one.  Best home for him would be an active family, with or without kids or another dog….but he does not like being left alone.  NoT separation anxiety, but his nose will be at the door waiting for your return!! Anyway, Hammy is too special to not get the attention he truly deserves. He is very active, so a senior home would not be the right one for Hampton.  Take a vacation and go to the canine “Hampton INN”
