THIS IS GUNNER….an exceptionally handsome, tri colored, 10 lb, 3 yr old purebred Shih Tzu. How this little man ended up abandoned  in the desert, matted to the bone, all alone, is beyond us. After efforts to find his owner for weeks were unsuccessful, we were asked to help find him a home. One look at his face and how could we say no?

We discovered a scratch on Gunner’s eye shortly after taking him in, so he’s going to need some time to heal before he’s ready to be adopted.

Gunner was extremely anxious when he came to us.  When he’s in the car, he likes to sit on someone’s lap and he absolutely will want to sleep in bed with you!  From what we could tell, he had never had a belly rub in his life…and now, he asks for them! He can be independent at times, but as he has gotten more comfy, he likes to be close to his humans. We’re just getting to know him but we can tell you he loves kids, good with everyone, great with other dogs and would love a family with a yard to love him.  He may be a little distracted at first, but once he knows you, he’s your boy! A SAFE yard will be great for Gunner — he needs to be exercised and walked…he could even be your running partner!  This is a wonderful boy who needs to remember what being loved is about…perhaps you could be the one to show him?

***GUNNER WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL AUGUST 9TH (AT THE EARLIEST).***
