MEET MS. GRETA GOOSE…who came from the Downey shelter as stinky as can be!  This precious, 7 lb, 4 yr old, white (when she has hair) Maltese mix (maybe with Chinese Crested Powder Puff?) came to us with a horrible yeast infection, barely any hair and pneumonia.  She was so quiet and sedate…but she loved being washed and rubbed down daily with a special cream that got rid of all the yeast and underneath was a soft as silk body just requiring some good food, meds and  hair!!  Hair grows!  She is all good now and we don’t think it is a chronic malady.

Once Greta felt better…she came alive!!  This goosey girl started playing like a puppy very, mouthy and joyful!  She loves her walks and gets uber excited when she knows she is going out.  She will even challenge a big dog to make friends with her!  When she was in the hospital, she wouldn’t poop in her cage and stuck her behind between the grids to do her business!!  She is pretty good here, but not perfect (will use a pp pad if necessary).  Obviously crate trained though.

Greta longs to be loved and doted on.  She is active and we don’t think she has fully blossomed yet, but she is on her way.  She will bark at strangers or dogs on walks…but she settles down pretty quickly.  She has a wonderful personality and is a kissy girl who wants to belong!  She could probably go with another dog but she could also be your one and only as long as you are able to give her a lot of attention.  Her past life has not been great, as the condition she was in would make you cry, but with love and good food, she should be a shining star!  Are you up for it?
