MEET OGGIE GONZO!  Yes, he was returned 🙁  We’re not sure why except his behavior in the home he was placed in was different than with us.  Gonzo, now Oggie, was not happy.  He just didn’t connect with the family.   He is back and he loves his foster mom and has never shown any bad behavior.  He was always shy, and was even shyer when he came back…. but he is one of the most affectionate dogs we have ever had!  He is even having some fun meeting other dogs!

That being said, we have determined that he might just want to be in a home with one person he can bond to, with no other dogs.  Being kept on a routine that he is comfortable with is absolute, so that there are no surprises.  Most importantly, he needs to find his FOREVER home this time!

Oggie’s right eye was enucleated when we first got him in March, and it took him a bit to get used to it missing.   He is probably a Cockapoo/Lhasa mix (although now that his hair has grown back, it’s not so curly), 3 yrs old, 18 lbs and full of cuddles and kisses.  He looked like this when we got him…so  sad and forlorn!

But look at him now!!  He looks and acts like a puppy!  He is sooo loveable.  He really is good with most everyone.  Oggie wants to engage with YOU, so he would not be good in a home where someone else cares for him.  He needs to bond and when he does, he’s really a Velcro dog who loves his toys (see the video), to give kisses and plays fetch the ball!  He can be a little socially awkward in crowds or where there are loud noises (especially fireworks).  He can get over protective and jealous!  Training will help.  We have seen him blossom but know he has more blossoming to go!  Oggie doesn’t have separation anxiety, he just gets sad when he is alone.  He isn’t a barker, he’s a lover not a fighter!  He will need training and attention ….but you can’t go wrong with this OGGIE loverboy.
