MEET GEORGIE AND GRACIE….yes, we believe a mother and son.  You can tell that Georgie — an adorable 4 yr old,  gray/white, 14 lb Shih Tzu — is a total ham!  He strives for attention wherever he is!  Mom, Gracie, a precious 8-9 yr old, red/white, 13.5 lb, who could not be sweeter if she tried.  While they are bonded and play like children, it is clear that Gracie was bred and bred and bred 🙁  (Our vet thought they were both younger, but we think we have aged them right).  Gracie had a hernia, mammary tumors…and a tumor in her uterus along with pyometra.  All gone; no more breeding for this angel.  Gracie has had a tough going of it and is lucky to be alive and in our care.   Despite what she has been through, nothing really phases her!  She is happy, kissy and loves attention.

Georgie is a free spirit!  He LOVES his mom and will play nonstop with her if given the opportunity.  They are both great eaters and seem to be potty trained outside or to a pp pad, but you know we never guarantee!  Georgie loves giving kisses, toys and has been known to steal from his other roomies.  They are both very quiet and really don’t bark much.  They are good on walks — of course, Georgie is the leader of the pack! Gracie, too, will look for any opportunity to get her belly rubbed or give you kisses of appreciation.  They both have eye issues probably requiring drops for the rest of their lives; Gracie a little worse than Georgie.  Vet thinks it could be a congenital issue; so far they do just fine!  Gracie is missing some teeth but Georgie’s teeth look like he is a puppy!   They are truly a wonderful pair.

Georgie is very active, so it would be great for them to go to a home that can appreciate the best of all worlds…a charming, more sedate Shih Tzu who just wants to play with her son, get belly  rubs and give you kisses…and an active, “take me running with you!” Shih Tzu who is a character and will keep you smiling from ear to ear.  Do these kids sound like they could fit into your home?  They are waiting!!!
