MEET GATSBY…who has great swagger and can throw a fabulous party!!  This 1-2 yr old, 13 lb, petite, brindle, very low to the ground, Lhasa X (maybe with Dachshund?) came from the Castaic Shelter.  He was dumped by his owner, who had “too many dogs.”  It is very unusual for a Lhasa to have brindle coloring and his black mask and tips make him even more handsome.  Gatsby was a wild child, but he has calmed down (a little) and LOVES TO PLAY with all size dogs!  While he definitely needs training, he has all the personality traits you want in t dog.  He is loving, sweet, smart and wants to please.  That being said, he is on his way to being potty trained and is doing well!  He does walk around you in circles on walks… training will be a must (we are working on it). He is a lover, a kisser and bonds quickly…but he can be all over the place like puppies are.  That is what you get when you get a young dog!  It took an hour to get these three pictures…which don’t do him justice!  Gatsby likes to nip at your pants just to get your attention…but for this reason, he probably would not be good with young kids (over 10 yrs old please).  He actually was available to rescue because he nipped at the officer trying to vaccinate him (like most scared dogs do!).  He was just scared and the first thing he did when he came to us was kiss us all over the face!  Gatsby will run after toys, but isn’t sure what to do with them!  He is a family dog who will enjoy outings and exercise…and needs a patient home that will work with him to make him the best dog he can be!  Another dog in the home IS A MUST.  Does he sound like a dog you could love…forever??

Hooray! This dog has been adopted!
