MEET FLORA….a sweetheart of a pup who we are watching bloom!  Flora is a white, fluffy, apx 9 yr old, 10 lb Maltipoo with a dash of  Westie!  Those EARS!!  She came from the West Valley Shelter, who thought she was 10 yrs old (she had prehistoric teeth)!  But, her eyes, activity and playfulness dictate otherwise!  Dental has been done and while she has fewer teeth, doesn’t stop her from being a “foodie.”  She gets uber excited at breakfast and dinner time!

Don’t think you can take Flora for a short little walk…she wants to go,  and she is quite willful about it!  She wants to take you in the direction she wants to go!  She always appears to be looking for someone, so we don’t exactly know what her story is.  When you love on her and let her know she is safe, she relaxes.  Play with a squeaky toy and watch her dance!!  She does cower sometimes when you go to pet or pick her up, but once she is getting her belly rub or sweet talk, she’s yours.  She would be fine with another small dog, but we think the most important thing for her is a person who wants to love her and is around a lot.  She might be a little too active for a senior home…but probably she would fare well in a semi active home.  Her walks are not for the weary! 

The only little issue for Flora is she is she might need help with her potty training.  BUT GOOD NEWS!!  If you take her out three times a day, like her foster does, she does well!   She hasn’t had an accident in a week!!  We’re working on it and she’s doing good!  She doesn’t love being left alone but would be fine a couple of hours.  Flora is still blooming, and she wants to go to her forever home and is 100% ready.
