INTRODUCING FIORI…a petite, extremely sweet 8lb, tri-colored, 4-5 yr old Shih Tzu who couldn’t be more adorable if she tried. In honor of this year’s Olympics, we thought it would only be fitting to give her an Italian name — which means “flower” and she is! She came from the Baldwin Park Shelter, who were experiencing an outbreak of distemper and needed to get her out — lucky us! She had a terrible case of kennel cough, which was scary, but she’s 100% healthy now. And I am not exaggerating when I tell you that she is a champ taking her medication — she chews it right up, no disguise required!

Without question, Fiori is one of the most affectionate dogs we’ve ever had. She gets uber excited when it’s meal time and is a great little eater! She loves other dogs and is playing with her foster brother, Oggie, nonstop! She is quiet and I don’t think we’ve heard her bark yet — but she does not like being left alone and will whine if she doesn’t come with you. She is petite enough to do that! Fiore will chase after toys but she’s not exactly sure what to do with them. It is amazing, but she seems to listen — comes when you tell her like she’s been here forever! She loves her walks and is getting the hang of going outside or on a pp pad. Be prepared to get lots and lots of kisses because she’s a pro at it! We don’t have any, but we believe she would be great with gentle, older kids 8+.

Fiori is so well adjusted she could probably go with any family — ideally they will have older kids (or not), work from home and want a wonderful, pup.
