MEET FINNEY….a precocious, gray/white, 12 lb, 4 yr old, Shih Tzu, who came from the shelter smothered in fleas, an ear infection, FAD (flea allergy dermititis) and giardia.  POOF….TREATED AND ALL GONE!!

This little man has been through it all and he is quite a character!  He loves his food, his toys, going on walks, snuggling in bed and YOU!  He isn’t fond of the groomer (and can be a little snippy)…but once he settles down, he’s OK but still not his favorite place.  He did get better the second time around!!  Once Finney knows you, he is playful, happy, so sweet and gregarious and oh so kissy!  When he finally discovered toys…he went to town!  Plus…he is a curious little bugger!  I couldn’t find him for a second and he was exploring the closet!

Finney doesn’t enjoy being left behind and he is good with other dogs, so it would probably be best for him to have a BFF when you are gone.  Nobody is around 24/7.  While Finney is loving and attentive, he can also be independent and happy playing with his toys.  He makes the cutest little gurgling sounds when he is playing, as if to say, “I’m having a fantastic time.”  HA!!  He would be good around older children (10+) and is a very happy go lucky boy.  His only training issue (besides needing general obedience) is he will need help with his potty training.   Hopefully, once he is healthy 100% this will be easier to train.  He does his business outside…and he needs long walks…but sometimes, if he is not walked long or far enough, he might have an accident.  That’s what mops are for!  🙂

Finney is a super boy…are you a super family?  Then come and get him!  He will be available for adoption on September 11.
