MEET ETHAN…a handsome, 17 lb, 4 yr old, Lhasa Apso X, who came to LHH from the North Central Shelter, where he languished with a dislocated hip and fractured pelvis for over a month 🙁  This sweetheart of a boy never complained and was active and happy from day one!  He made it thru the surgery with flying colors and is now recovering at his foster home.

Ethan’s foster mom couldn’t think of a single negative word to say about him. He has great social skills with people and other dogs. He’s becoming best buddies with a gentle giant (a 90 pound standard American bulldog) in his foster home, so he gets along well with dogs of all sizes. He has picked up potty training quickly — but no guarantees at your house!  He enjoys sunbathing, playing with toys and loving you. Above all, Ethan’s favorite activity so far appears to be going on walks in the neighborhood, where he can meet everyone. He has learned to request walks politely and frequently!  He typically goes on two walks a day while recovering, but he would love to go for more if he could. He loves taking in all the scents and getting exercise.  When he is 100%, we could see him hiking and being a good running partner!

Ethan’s big eyes, lovable, affectionate nature make everyone who meets him fall in love. His affectionate kisses, and sweet, easy-going personality, make him an ideal candidate for almost any home.  Even kids over 8 yrs old would be welcomed, with or without dogs.  The only home he would not love would be one where he is left alone all day.  He needs/wants a minimum of 3 walks a day!!  Are you ready to fall in love at first sight?
