MEET ESTHER and BOO BOO….(we are not responsible for these names!!) a wonderful pair of Shih Tzu Lhasa Mix.  Esther is a zaftig 21 lbs; BooBoo a stout 28 lbs!  They are golden tan with black markings and 8.5 yrs old (DOB 1/21/2012).  They are being relinquished because their mom lost her job and financially cannot take care of them properly.  She wants a better quality of life for them.  They have been inside/outside dogs (mostly outside) but they are people pleasers and should train easily.  Believe it or not, they seem potty trained on a schedule (they know to go outside!)  They are doggie door trained from outside into a crate inside :(.

Esther is sweet as pie and LOVES belly rubs!  She has the cutest underbite and is very attached to BooBoo!!  She is easy going, loves to go for walks with her brother and has lots and lots of love to give!  She loves to chase BooBoo and play fetch and tag.  She is a little shy and insecure and needs some self esteem.  Loves to be loved!!  She doesn’t play with toys, but she does love to play with her brother….and gives lots of kisses.  She came to us with a loose canine and dewclaws and they are being fixed as this is being written!

BooBoo is healthy, energetic, loves to go for walks and just playing around.  Neither dog seems like 8.5 yrs old!  Because he and Esther have been left outside, they haven’t been all that socialized, but it doesn’t stop them from being incredibly affectionate and loving.  BooBoo has a protective nature and while he is very affectionate, he needs a little time to get to know and trust you!  For this reason, we don’t want them to go to a family with children.  He is not in the least bit aggressive (although he does growl talk) and he looks more Lhasa than Shih Tzu, so this is just something to be aware of.  Since the family kids are gone, nobody plays with them anymore so he’s looking forward to living inside and being loved! He is afraid of fireworks and loud noises, so none of that for him!  Loves to fetch and give kisses and wants to please!!  He and Esther know sit, stay and no.

It would be wonderful for them to have a yard to play in.  There is a lot of life in these kids…don’t let their age deter you. They have been always been together and they will not be separated!  They are waiting for you!!!
