MEET EMMITT…the cutest little 7 month old, b/w, 11.5 lb Cockapoo ever!  He might get a little bigger, but not much.  Those close to him call him “Emmy,” and he is strong and energetic like his namesake Emmitt Smith.  He came to us at about 5 months old @ 8 pounds, with a badly broken jaw.  We don’t know what happened, but we can only imagine.  Now healed after 2 surgeries, Emmitt is ready for his happy forever life and home!  He eats like a growing boy and has become a well adjusted pooch.  He is a pure joy, happy-go-lucky, affectionate, cuddly, kissy, grateful puppy, who loves to play, loves food, other dogs, his humans, to splash in puddles, toys, and now just loves, LOVES life!  You have to watch him around the bathtub because he will jump in with or without you.  He bonds nicely to his companions, canine and human.  He want him to go to a home where there is another young, playful dog and a family who is active (walks, hikes, chase, fetch) and will give him oodles of attention.  He recently found his voice and likes to talk occasionally, now that his jaw is healed, but we haven’t known him to be a barker.  He is a skilled napper between play sessions and sleeps well at night.  Once-in-awhile, he has the cutest hiccups and he has been known to have a pint-sized snore!

Emmit seems to be potty trained (no guarantees) but will need a refresher course and adjustment period in his forever home.  He is in the puppy chew stage right now and has become a bit puppy mouthy, which we are working on.  We have not seen aggression, just the excitement and impulsive of putting everything in his mouth to chew on—slippers, dirt clumps, your nose…However, he has not been destructive.
