MEET MISS ELSIE…your portable and fun loving canine companion!  She is definitely a charmer!  But this little 4 yr old, 10 lb, gold/black, Silky Terrier X is a true survivor!  She came to us from the Riverside Shelter with a busted up pelvis — right/left/middle!  They asked us to take her and we’re glad we did.  We took her to surgery immediately, where she had two plates implanted to keep her pelvis together — $8500+ all done!  Her pelvis was miraculously and incredibly repaired by a wonderful surgeon and she was bearing weight two weeks later!  While she is still healing, Elsie is ready to get up and go!!

This angel has a super chill personality and just wants to be loved.  She is anxious to play with some of the canine kids at her foster home — snuggles with one, wants to play with another and ignores the rest!  Her foster mom describes her as a “beacon of joy” — submissive, doesn’t complain about anything….she even does her business on command!  No guarantees at your house!!   We believe when she is fully recovered she will be pretty active, since it is already difficult to keep her quiet.  What she is longing to do is chase birds and do the zoomies, but not quite yet! 

Elsie doesn’t have separation anxiety but she really wants to be around people and dog friends — so the ideal home would be one with both!!  She will follow you around the house, from room to room.   If she is confined downstairs and her people are upstairs, she’ll bark or whine to let you know she wants attention!   She will sometimes bark if the others bark ( i.e. mailman, UPS), but she doesn’t bark at people or at every little thing.  She will be a great traveler, as she is sweet and petite.   People are always commenting on how cute she is!  

Do you have the perfect home for this little Superstar?  Another young, small, playful pup; kids over 8 yrs old would be OK, parents who are around to spoil her?  She will be available beginning of July!  We are accepting applications now.
