MEET DUSTY…a cute, 13 lb,  8 yr old, tan w/black tips, female Shih Tzu/Terrier/Yorkie — whatever you want her to be, she’s a doll!  Whatever her mix, it works for her!  She originally came to us from the shelter with a huge lipoma wrapped around her leg!  We thought for sure it was the “c” word…but it turned out to be a fatty tumor *nothing to worry about!  She is definitely all good to go!

Dusty was originally adopted to a home during Covid-19 10/2020.  They promised it would be forever, but that was not the case.   They just wanted a Covid companion and once the job resumed, too much time away from home and too little time for Dusty, so we took her back.   

Dusty is a happy-go-lucky girl, with a bit of pep to her step.  Watch her video!  We’re pretty sure she was fed people food because when it’s dinner time, she comes a runnin!  She has settled back in and knows that there would be none of that until she gets down to her fighting weight of about 13 lbs….and she’s there!  Without question, Dusty is a Velcro dog and will follow you everywhere.  She is quiet, unless she wants something…like dinner, a walk, your attention….a treat!  While she is okay around other dogs (and cats) and has no aggression, Dusty would love to be your one and only (if someone is home) so she can hog all the attention!  She is special and wants to be your special girl.  She is good in the car, on walks… which would be good to exercise her…and seems to know what potty training is (but we never guarantee)!  Dusty would be perfect for an active, mature home (with older grandchildren even) looking for a companion to nap and play with — one of Dusty’s favorite things to do!!  She is very protective of her home and will be vocal with strangers (but settles down) when you tell her “no.”  One thing, she has a great temperament but don’t smother her!  She has a great underbite, several missing teeth (but it doesn’t stop her ability to chow down) and a wonderful attitude!  If you are looking for a dog who will be your shadow, Dusty fits the bill!  Can she go home with you?
