MEET DIGBY…whose underbite walks in the door before he does!  This 3 yr old, charcoal/white (with a few tan highlights), 11 lb, HEALTHY Terrier Shih Tzu was shut down and fearful at the Orange County Shelter.  When they brought him out, I said, “how could I possibly turn down that underbite?”  So home with me he went.

Digby probably hasn’t had the best care in his short life, but we don’t really know his story.  However, once you give him a few treats, take him on a few walks and let him know how special he is, it only takes a day or so for him to bond to you!  His foster had him in her home when her senior girl was very ill and getting ready to pass and he guarded her like an angel.  We have definitely learned that he doesn’t like being left alone and he will bark, but he does like other dogs and probably would be best with a small female.  He is still learning where to do his business, sometimes on the pp pads and sometimes he misses, but he loves his walks and to ride in the car.  He is very affectionate (even wraps his paws around your arm for security) and he just takes some time to trust you.  He is young and mouthy — of course his underbite gets in the way — but he is a special boy.  He would do great in a home where his people work from the house, have a yard and dote on him.  Kids over 10 yrs old would be welcomed.  Another small dog would be wonderful, but of course he would have to have first approval!  Does this sound like your kind of dog?  Let us know!
