THIS IS DESMOND…a mature 16 lb, white, Maltipoo gentleman at 8-9 yrs old, who loves to saunter around the house and show a bit of swag.  But, get him outside and he will walk you!  He has a bit of pep to his step, but his favorite thing to do is hang out with you and the other dogs.  While he doesn’t engage and play with them, he loves their company and is very interested on walks.  Sometimes, he gets protective with bigger dogs outside and will bark, but mostly he likes to check out the scenery!  We don’t know what Desmond’s history is, and he is a bit slow to come out of his shell…he came from South Central, with a couple of funky warts on his back and his eye…so we had them removed and he takes it all in stride.  We think he would do best in a home with outside access for a “refresher course” (hasn’t had an accident in his foster’s house — but no guaranee at your house!)  LOVES to be outside with you.  But he does use PP pads when he has to.  The perfect home for Desmond would be one with or without other dogs and a doting home that will give him the love he has been deprived of.  We think he just needs to relax and get belly rubs and treats and he will be the happiest dog in the world.  Hey, I’d be happy getting belly rubs and treats while relaxing!  I guess in another life!!!  Desmond wants to make himself at home with you….he will make you smile!
