THIS IS DAKOTA…and she came from the Hesperia Shelter with no age…imagine our surprise when this adorable white with gold/blk tipped ears, 10 lb, Shih Poo showed up and she is barely a year old! One of her eyes has a little blue in it — very unique…and full of puppy-ness she is!  We don’t know her history, but she is a bit frightened of men at first…until you put her in their arms and she mellows out. Dakota loves toys, loves to play, loves to give kisses all day long and protects her terrified (upon arrival) foster mate, Cherish!  In other words, she is a love!!  Dakota is very smart and even though she is young, she learned to sit almost immediately!  She is good on a leash and is learning the doggie door.  She came to the shelter with a Halloween costume on and we were sure her owner would come for her but no….but she has brought lots of life to our rescue and we love her!  She still has puppy nipping, so young children would not be a good plan.  Kids over 8 yrs old would be great….another canine (small and playful) a must.  Definitely want her in a home for the holidays…she is almost small enough to put in a stocking… but dogs should never be given as gifts :).  Do you have a place in your heart for our Dakota girl?
