THIS IS DAHLIA….a sweetheart of a dog once she gets to know you.  She takes a little while to open up, but that is because we don’t think she was treated with love and affection in the past — so she is a little shy.  She is either a very large Shih Tzu or she may have some Lhasa in her.   She is tan/white, about 6-7 yrs old, 18 lbs and very independent.  She is a good walker — she prances when it is time to go out — but she didn’t like to walk at all when she got here. Now she barrels up the stairs and is good on a leash.  Long walks aren’t for her…but she is getting better and better!  And, she does her business outside when she is on a schedule. We think Dahlia was probably on a diet of McDonald’s, as she is picky about eating dog food, but she could drop a pound or two!  This zaftig little lady is a cuddler and her favorite position is on her back on your belly!  She is very sweet and just wants to be loved.  Do you think you could love Dahlia?  She would do well in a calm environment…a mature home would be good but she does need to be walked!  Can you give Dahlia a forever home?  She’s waiting.
