PENDING ADOPTION!!

                SAVVY LHASA PARENT SOUGHT!

MEET CODY….an actual Lhasa Apso!  This handsome brown/blk/white, 2-3 yr old, 18 lb, boy came from the Carson Shelter with a bad rap…he’s a Lhasa after all.  Cody is a wonderful dog 85% of the time.  He is fun, playful, happy, good walker, joyous, OK with some other dogs, quiet, busy, loving and cuddly.  But when you do something he doesn’t like — like putting meds in his ears, trying to take something out of his mouth, or trying to groom him — he can be a beast.  And we are not just saying this!!!  He is a resource guarder and a bit difficult in those situations and will bite.  He is working with a trainer, but setting parameters and making him earn “everything” — no free rides — will need to be part of his life ongoing —  making sure he knows he is NOT the boss!!  He is getting more trusting and those are the things that bug him that we’ve noticed… but we believe and hope with training in his home he will become a trusting dog.  He is a kissyface…he could be alone a few hours (not more than 3 please) but we want him to be in a home where he will get a ton of attention, with boundaries.   After all, he is a 2-3 year old puppy, who likes to prance and play and hasn’t ever been taught how to behave appropriately.  Another dog in the home would depend on the dog.  That being said, he seems to be potty trained, but no guarantees at your house.   We want Cody to go to a home where you LOVE and understand the breed. He needs manners!  No kids please.  Cody is not unpredictable.  His eyes get really red when he is mad!  Mostly, he is too busy kissing you to fight!  Are you looking for a Lhasa who is looking to be a part of your family who needs better manners?  He’s looking for you!  We are hoping he will be available in August after training 🙂  His adoption fee will include access to the trainer in your home.
